Product detailed description

Uses:
  • Textile-rubber laminated sleeves are elastic sealing elements used to seal mutually moving cylindrical machine parts. Most of the sealing is for parts with reciprocating straight-line motion, although the use of some types of cuffs for slow rotary motion is not excluded.
Certified:

The range of cuffs is manufactured from NBR and CR rubbers reinforced with fabric or made from PTFE.

The resulting construction provides perfect media resistance, ensuring both strength and flexibility of the cuffs and extending their service life.

Textile-rubber cuffs are manufactured to precise dimensions and tolerances that facilitate their placement in the packing space.

The special feature of the sealing sleeves is that the functional parts (tabs) are pressed against the contact surfaces of the sealing components directly by the working pressure of the sealing medium. Because of this basic functional characteristic, the textile-rubber sleeves are referred to as self-sealing.

It is not recommended to use excessive sealing pressure, which would deform the profile of the cuffs and violate this characteristic.

The sealing space should be designed so that the cuff is not pulled over sharp edges and threads during assembly. One of the most important factors affecting the functional reliability and service life of the cuffs is the degree of machining of the sealing surfaces.

It is recommended to achieve as perfect a surface as possible (about Ra 0.4) or to use surface hardening or perfect chrome plating.

Larger sizes: for extreme diameters, the cuffs are supplied in standard metres, which are twisted to the required diameter and joined by a diagonal cut. The metre gauge is only available for profiles 7, 11, 12 and the SHEVRON profile.

Inquiry details: inquiries for non-standard cuffs must include detailed drawings or sample used, dimensions of the sealing area, specification of the rubber or reinforcing fabric
