Uses:

Cuffs are one of the most important types of seals for moving parts of hydraulic and pneumatic equipment in straight-line sliding motion. Symmetrical sleeves can be used to seal both pistons and piston rods. Asymmetric cuffs are designed to seal only the piston or piston rod, depending on the design of the sealing blades. The sealing function in the non-pressurised state is based on the radial preload of the cuffs due to the compression of the blades when placed in the breech space. Under operating pressure, sealing is achieved by the pressure of the sealing medium on the sealing blades.
