TEXIM ADHESIVE double-sided adhesive tapes are used for firm bonding of bonded substrates. Due to the different properties of the materials to be bonded, double-sided adhesive tapes are also produced with different types of adhesives and carriers. Please consult our technical sales department for a suitable selection of these tapes.

Instructions for use:
The surfaces to be bonded must be clean, dry and degreased. Simple degreasers such as cleaning petrol or isopropyl alcohol are most suitable. When applying the tape, the tape should be pressed into the surfaces of the bonded substrates over the entire area with a force of approx. 0.5 - 1 kg/cm². If the material has back pressure, e.g. when gluing boxes or packaging, it is highly advisable to remove the back pressure by a suitable means (e.g. breaking the edges and then applying pressure while the glue is flowing). For rubber-based adhesives this time is approx. 12 hours, for acrylic systems approx. 24 hours. Bonding should be carried out at room temperature and room humidity.

If the tapes have been stored at temperatures below 16 °C, they should be temperature acclimatised for a minimum of 8 hours in an environment that meets the bonding conditions. After the adhesive has set, the joint may be subjected to mechanical, chemical and thermal stresses up to the values specified in the technical data sheet. The safest method of bonding is to test the tape in several pieces according to the instructions described above before bonding large batches.
